Description:
Defendant failed to exercise the care toward others which a reasonable or prudent person would do. Defendant took an action which a reasonable person would not, causing harm to Plaintiff. The facts setting forth Defendant’s negligence, and the harm caused by Defendant’s negligence, are as follows.
Plaintiff:
As a result of McDonald's negligence in requiring franchisees to hold coffee at 180–190 °F, I suffered third-degree burns on six percent of my skin and lesser burns over sixteen percent. I remained in the hospital for eight days while undergoing skin grafting. After the hospital stay, I needed care for 3 weeks, which was provided by her daughter. I suffered permanent disfigurement after the incident and was partially disabled for two years.
